How to use this sunflower wax?

Define the project
Specify the final shape, the support, the associated components, the desired finish and the targeted production level.

Calculate the quantity
Make a prototype, weigh the wax actually used per unit and record this mass before multiplying the quantities.
Add only the margin corresponding to the losses actually observed.

Prepare the materials
Use a balance, thermometer, wax melter or suitable equipment, clean and dry tools, as well as the final support provided.
Determine the quantity from a filled and weighed mold. Melt the pellets, add the compatible components, then pour into the mold equipped with its wick.

Melt gradually
Record the validated settings to reproduce the test.

Incorporate components
Add only fragrances, dyes, oils, additives or other materials compatible with the end use. Mix regularly. For scented candles, select fragrances designed for candle making and follow the supplier's information.

Carry out the application
Pour the wax into the prepared mold then unmold after stabilization. Maintain identical conditions between the compared prototypes. Before pouring, center the wick and prepare the clean, dry and stable mold.

Let stabilize
Let cool or stabilize under reproducible conditions, on a suitable surface and protected from sudden variations. After unmolding, inspect the base, ridges and surface of each candle.

Check the appearance, hold, odor and performance of use; for a candle, burn it completely. Correct the before production protocol.

KERAGREEN Sunflower Pilar is designed for moulded candles, pillars and fondants which must retain their shape after unmolding. If the candle remains in its container, choose a Container wax instead. The final shape is therefore the first criterion to decide before evaluating the result.
Choose according to the fragrance
Fragrance and coloring may change the appearance, release and burning of KERAGREEN Sunflower Pilar. Test the fragrance, color and dosages provided with the chosen wick. After any change in recipe, make a new prototype to check the hold, surface and behavior of the candle.
Choose according to the mold
Validate the wax in the mold that will be used in production, with the final fragrance, dye and wick. After cooling, check release, shape retention, details and surface appearance. For a candle to burn, complete this check with a combustion test to the bottom.
