What is wooden wick Lace used for?
Wooden wick Lace is used to make container candles which remain in their container. It feeds the flame from the melted wax and contributes to the functioning of the candle.

How to use wooden wick Lace?

Choose the container
Take a pot designed to make candles and measure its internal diameter as well as its useful height.
Keep the final format for testing.

Choose the format and length of wick taking into account the level of wax and the final recipe.

Assemble the support
Insert the wooden wick into the support provided and check its hold.

Secure and center
Fix the support to the bottom with a system adapted to the project.

Prepare the recipe
To melt the wax, use a wax melter or a bain-marie suitable for candle making. Melting and melting point depend on the wax chosen. Then incorporate the fragrance and the coloring according to their instructions, then homogenize the scented wax before pouring.

How to choose your wooden wick Lace?
Choose according to the type of candle
The wooden wick Dentelle is available for the container candles. The announced compatibilities concern soy, rapeseed and coconut vegetable waxes, as well as paraffin. Test the exact formula: a wax or mixture is not valid on its name alone. A soy wax, a mixed vegetable wax and a paraffin wax can be presented in pellets, in flakes or in slabs: this presentation does not replace the formulation instructions. If you use a beeswax or another base not documented for the range, have its use confirmed before starting the tests.
Choose according to the fragrance
The choice of scents accompanies that of the wick: gourmet vanilla, floral lavender, woody cedar or citrus are all examples of olfactory universes to work with fragrances for candles. To fragranceer your wax, choose a suitable fragrance and its actual dosage. An essential oil or scented oils also require verification of their destination and their instructions for use; their origin is not enough to establish their compatibility.
Choose according to the container
The width or diameter of the wooden wick describes the part, not the recommended diameter of the candle. Measure the pot, check the position of the support and compare several assemblies when the choice remains open.
Choose according to production
Keep a reference copy and a manufacturing sheet indicating the size, batch, wax, fragrance, coloring and container. This traceability makes it possible to reproduce the validated assembly during subsequent orders.

Wicks from the Dentelle range are available for container candles. They allow you to prepare scented collections or not, in a pot suitable for this use. The final choice is confirmed with the recipe and the container of production.
Two formats: P16 and P19, each in length 127 mm (12.7 cm). The announced width of the P16 format is 16 mm. Select the desired format directly on this sheet.
The size of the wood describes the wick itself. It does not provide a universal range of spark plug diameter. The width of the pot, its geometry, the wax and the fragrance must be taken into account in preparing the tests.
The sources of the range cite soy, rapeseed and coconut vegetable waxes, as well as paraffin. Use a wax formulated for container candles and control the burn of your full formula. A mixture of waxes or the addition of an additive requires its own validation.
Yes, the scented candles are part of the advertised applications. Use a fragrance intended for candles and follow its formulation instructions. Test the wick with the dosage actually intended for production and repeat after changing the fragrance. Fragrances and colorings must be dosed separately. To color a white candle, use a dye intended for this purpose; decorative pigments do not automatically replace a dye intended to burn.
